Why should I register my project on the APX VCS Registry?

Because the APX VCS Registry is the only VCS Registry that:

  • Has a 24 hour Operations Desk available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. APX Staff is also easy to reach via Skype.
  • Commits to a 24 hour turn around on project reviews. This means you can get your project through the VCS process faster and issue and monetize your VCUs within a very short timeline.
  • Is connected to the Colonial Bourse Markets (CBL) providing more ways for you to sell your VCUs.
  • Is committed to help promote your project and visibility through our website and partners
  • Has a team with over 100 years of cumulative experience working in environmental markets

These are the reasons why more than two-thirds of the last 250 VCS projects have chosen to register with the APX VCS Registry.

Registration Process

The Verified Carbon Standard Association (VCS) has posted their rules and procedures for using the VCS Program to issue Verified Carbon Units (VCUs). The Program Documents are available from their website and we encourage you to review these. The APX VCS Registry has been developed in conjunction with the Verified Carbon Standard rules for registering and issuing VCUs. The following steps are necessary on the APX VCS Registry to show that your carbon offset project is meeting the Verified Carbon Standard. First, you will need to have registered for a Project Proponent or General account on the APX VCS Registry.

Step 1

If your project is new and awaiting Validation, you can list it in the VCS Project Pipeline. This is a great way to showcase your new and upcoming project to provide confidence to potential investors and buyers. In order to do this log in to your account, register the project in your APX VCS Registry account, upload the required documents and Submit the Project to be reviewed by APX. Please contact the APX VCS Registry Administrator for more information.

Step 2

If your project has undergone Validation, upload the required documents and Submit the Project to be reviewed by APX. We promise our clients that we will respond within 24 hours regarding the status of your project and if any additional clarifications are required. Once the review is complete, we will approve your project with a status of Validated. Getting your project listed provides confidence to investors and buyers that your project is meeting the VCS Standard.

Step 3

If your project has undergone initial Validation and Verification, you may upload the required documents , create issuance requests, and Submit the Project to be reviewed by APX. We will respond within 24 hours regarding the status of your project and if any additional clarification is required. Once the review is complete, we will approve your project with a status of Verified and issue invoices for your VCU issuance request. Once payment is received, the VCUs will be deposited into your account. At this time, you will be able to initiate your transfers to buyers which are awaiting delivery.

Step 4

If your project is seeking issuance for a subsequent Verification Period, you will need to update the required documents, update any other details about the project, create additional issuance requests and Submit the Project to be reviewed by APX. We will respond within 24 hours regarding the status of your project and if any additional clarification is required. Once the review is complete, we will issue invoices for your VCU issuance request. Once payment is received, the VCUs will be deposited into your account.
