Washington D.C., New York – 31 July 2019 – Verra and APX announce partnership for the development of a new platform offering Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB), Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) and the California Offset Project Registry (OPR) in a single system. Development is already underway, with a scheduled goal to launch in early in 2020.
“For the past several years, as one of two Verra approved VCS registry service providers, APX has had the honor of offering registry administration to hundreds of clients around the world. With this announcement, we are pleased to continue and broaden our relationship with Verra. This further distinguishes APX as the dominant infrastructure provider for environmental commodities,” stated Devon Walton, head of environmental markets infrastructure at APX. APX will continue to provide VCS registry services until the transition is complete. Starting in mid-January 2020, all functions will be managed directly by Verra and powered exclusively by APX registry technology.
