APX welcomes Brian Fellon as Chief Commercial Officer

Brian Fellon is a seasoned business developer, market strategist, and entrepreneurial leader with nearly 15 years of experience in the energy space among public, startup, and growth-oriented firms. Brian served most recently as VP of Strategy and Commercial Operations at Utopus Insights, a global energy analytics SaaS company acquired by Vestas Wind Systems. Brian was primarily responsible for developing new capabilities and partnerships in tangential markets by leveraging his comprehensive background in asset management, wholesale power markets, trading, and weather risk hedging to maximize the commercial value of new and existing software solutions.

Prior to joining Utopus, Brian was a Power and Weather Trader at Direct Energy—now a part of NRG—where he led the generation asset management team and optimized company positions through the design and execution of standardized and bespoke transactions. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of client management, sales, trading, and engineering roles within Hess Corporation, Sunoco, and Fellon-McCord. Brian received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University.
